March on Washington
Two busloads of protesters from Atlanta went to Washington, D.C. for the January 27, 2007 march to call for an end to the Iraq War. (Click on image thumbnails for full-size pictures.)
The buses were set to leave the night before from the Perimeter Mall parking lot, but they were late to arrive, so we were entertained by our fellow marchers.
A crew from the local CBS affiliate came to film us, but the interviews had to be conducted on the sidewalk next to the parking lot. For some odd reason, mall security would not allow them to film on the premises. I have no idea if any of the footage aired. As you can see, though, we were fully prepared for media coverage!
We boarded the buses and rolled out.
